Day 6 - Dongdaemun & Nanta Show

Hello! Continuing on my series of travels to Korea, today I'll be blogging about Dongdaemun and the Nanta Show. I honestly don't have that many pictures because we just kept walking around and shopping in Dongdaemun and there are no cameras allowed for the Nanta show so this will be a very short post, so this post might be more of a picture story post instead of lots of text.

Gmarket Haul #5

Finally I'm back with another Gmarket haul! This one wasn't centered around beauty products like my usual hauls because the main thing I wanted to buy were the calender and diary so I can start off my year, and some seaweed haha

The usual packaging, everything in one big box! This took 2 weeks to arrive which is fine for me. Expect 2 weeks, I think that's usually how long it takes. I've only had one bad experience with shipping from Gmarket and that was a sellers fault.

After opening my box, this is what I saw.

Liz Lisa Rose Pink Lip gloss

Lovelies! Today I'll be reviewing a Liz Lisa lip gloss that I bought during my stay in Japan! This product is part of their Cosme de Liz Lisa-Jenne Makeup collection that also includes blush and eyeshadow.

PACKAGING:
The packaging for this gloss is ababsolutely ADORABLE!  As expected of Liz Lisa, the main focus of the design is the pink floral design with gold additions, giving the product a cute yet elegant feel.

Day 5 - Hongdae

RISE AND SHINE BEAUTIFUL!
Hello lovelies! Today I will be blogging about Hongdae. I absolutely love this place. I think this place ranks #2 in my heart second to Myeongdong because it is just SO FUN and I absolutely love the atmosphere and shopping here! We had planned to visit the Hello Kitty Cafe so for breakfast we got ourselves some egg bbang (계란 빵) that was selling next to the subway entrance.

Egg Bbang is basically small bread with an egg inside it... Also it is called bread, I personally think it tastes more like a savory muffin with a sponge-cake type of texture.

Recommendation: ❤❤

Name: Hello Kitty Café / 헬로키티 카페
Address: 358-112, Mapo-gu Seogyo-dong)
URL: http://hellokittycafe.co.kr/

Recommendation: ❤❤❤❤
You want to get off at the Hongik University station and just follow the map. It's actually not that hard to find! Just remember to look out for the Tony Moly store and you should be fine!

This place is super duper cute but just don't expect the food to be great...I mean the selling point is the Hello Kitty design of the shop and not the food, so I guess that's quite reasonable for bad tasting food. AS LONG AS IT LOOKS CUTE YH?! Ok but the cake was pretty good. Just the drinks.

Day 4 - Gangnam & N Seoul Tower

op op op oppa gangnam style! Yes I went to gangnam on the 4th day to go stalk Taemin. Ok just kidding, they had the SM concert in Jakarta so no one was in Korea at that time :(  So we woke up and it was the first day we had to use the metro because we spent the last 2 days in places close to Myeongdong. So we went to the subway and bought our T-Money passes first and then we had tteokbokki and fish cakes for breakfast!!!! This stall is right in front of the gates to enter the subway so you won't miss it at all! It's owned by a middle-aged lady...if that helps at all. I think I've fallen in love with tteokbokki already.

If you're under 18 years of age, you can get the teenager pass which is cheaper.

Useless selfie of the day - fish face

Gangnam has earned a reputation of being one of the most affluent, dynamic, and influential areas in both Seoul and South Korea as a whole, also thanks to Psy's song, stating how everything in the day time is expensive and classy whilst at night time it gets quite wild. I have no idea what I'm trying to say.

Basically we came here to SHOP! You can expect the shops/malls here to be more in the higher end for cost but it's definitely a place you should go to. Our first stop was the Hyundai Department store (it is very similar to Lotte Department store) and being the bad blogger I am, I don't have many photos because I was too busy shopping....I'M SORRY! Y^Y

Name: Hyundai Department store
Address: 165, Apgujeong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

Directions: Apgujeong Station (Seoul subway Line 3), Exit 6. The exit is directly connected to the department store.

On the ground floor, food courts and supermarkets can be found that sell all types of things, ranging from the usual groceries to gifts and cakes! I felt really rich when I was in here because emverything is packaged so nicely and it was SUPER clean, something I feel Coles and Safeway should learn from them, and everything was just pretty and the there was a very precise layout.

Day 3 - Namdaemun

Hello again! Sorry for being late for day 3. I started a Harry Potter marathon so I got caught up in watching movies and all but I'm back now and here's my itinerary for day 3.
Name: Caffe Bene / 카페베네
URL: http://www.caffebene.co.kr

First stop Caffe Bene. We dropped in for breakfast and our morning drinks. This place is everywhere. There are at least...3, I think ...2 at least, shops in Myeongdong alone (they have 500 stores in Korea) and the drinks are amazing!

We ordered a toast to share and mum had a latte and I ordered my usual greentea latte. This place has the best drinks EVER! We went to different cafes in the morning for breakfast and this place had the best greentea latte from all of the stores we visited! Same goes for the coffee according to my mum!
Cheese and garlic toast
 Recommendation: ❤❤❤❤❤ - amazing coffee/drinks

Our next destination was Namdaemun market and we decided to walk there instead of taking the train because it is only about 15 minutes away on foot. We got a map from the information people in Myeongdong and it showed us how to get there. I also suggest you just ask the information people how to get there because that will make your life a lot easier as well.
How to walk from Myeongdong to Namdaemun.
Namdaemun market is basically ...well a market of course and it's filled with cheap clothes, accessories, electronics (mainly second hand cameras), ginseng and seaweed, tableware and FOOD! The market basically resembles 女人街 in China, so I have to say the shop layout wasn't exactly my style.

Walking past the Teenie Weenie bear to get help from the information people =]
