Peripera My Colour Lips: Cherry Pink & Pink Beige

http://www.peripera.co.kr/
Hello! Sorry for the lack of posts. Recently I've been very busy with enrolement and subject selections so I haven't had time to post much but I'm getting back on track now!

In a recent Gmarket haul, I bought 2 Peripera lipsticks from their My Colour Lips collection. These are my first Peripera purchases and I am super excited to share them with you.

Packaging
From the amount of picture spam below, I'm sure you can tell that I absolutely love the packaging. I am a package freak and am drawn to anything with pretty or unique packaging, and the packing for this is totally cute! I absolutely love the lace design on the cap. It makes the lipstick feel very dainty and elegant!! Also the tube itself is also super shiny! When I first opened it I picked it up with a tissue because I didn't want to get fingerprints on it before I took pictures for this post, but it is SUPER shiny! I thought it was super cute without going overboard with bows and frills and whatnot.

harhar you can see me taking the picture. That's how shiny it was. It was like a mini mirror!

Colour
I purchased 2 colours because they were doing a buy 1 get 1 free sale. There are heaps of colours in the collection with a focus on different pink shades. I got #06 Cherry Pink and #20 Pink Beige. Both colours were very pigmented and the Cherry Pink one also stains your lips if you wear it for a few hours which I like because my lipstick tends to wear off easily so with the cherry pink, I was still able to have some colour on my lips even though I've pretty much lost all of the lipstick already.

#20 Cherry pink is a hot pink colour. It is very pigmented and the colour can be built up depending on how pink you want your lips to turn out!

#06 Pink Beige was the one I preferred out of the 2, simply because I am more into peachy colours instead of reds and pinks for lips. The colour is similar to salmon pink.

Texture
Both lipsticks were very smooth and easy to wear. I felt like they just glided onto my lips but highly recommend people with dry lips to put on lip balm before hand as it does bring out the cracks and makes dry skin on your lips more visible.

Scent
When I was swatching the lipsticks I couldn't help but notice both of them had a waft of perfume smell. I don't know how to explain the smell because it is very subtle but it is noticeable. It's not a 'lipstick' smell, I think it definitely smells like some perfume. So when I was putting it on my lips they didn't taste too good...Now this shouldn't really be a problem but if you're someone like me, anything near my lips will find it's way to my mouth. So I guess I could taste the 'perfume' or whatever was contributing to the smell. It wasn't very yummy but it just tasted like when you get perfume in your mouth but not as bitter........but this seriously shouldn't be a big problem HAHA

- Adorable packaging                                                        - Hard to find Peripera products
- Very pigmented                                                               - Brings out cracks and dry areas on the lips
- Smooth texture                                                                - Tastes bad...
- Smells good

That's all for this review! I hoped it helped and if you do end up buying one of the Peripera lipsticks send me a photo or leave a comment on which colour you ended up getting!!
